Colin Williams served LS1 engagement 9 years, Corporal S2, served in Air Squadron 3 Cdo Bde 3 years Singapore with deployment to Borneo
Parachute training at Abingdon, drafts to Eastney/Poole and finally 45 Cdo at Stonehouse Barracks and Arbroath, Several terms in Northern Ireland before leaving the Corps.
Since leaving the Corps have been a successful Businessman and a Supervising Examiner for the Diamond Advanced Driving Test for several years, currently Semi retired.
Born 1952, married with three children and one grandson. Joined the Royal Marines in 1971, 10 Troop. Served in 41 Cdo (Feb 72 – 73) and 42 Cdo (Feb. 73 – Sept. 76) number of tours in Northern Ireland.
After completing most of an SC3 course he decided to leave the Corps and took up professional diving. Following an accident he did a degree in Oceanography at Bangor University and then started his own computer software business doing business modelling.
Since 2004, to give something back to his community he has been a volunteer First Responder with the Welsh Ambulance Service, attending 999 calls in his local area. Barry is also the Treasurer of the North Wales Royal Marines Association and recently took up sea kayaking again.
Joined HM Royal Marines as a junior Marine and went on to serve for 19 years with Commando units 45,40 and with some other units including Brigade Patrol Troop.
Having had a varied and interesting time with the Corp I was medically discharged in late 2008. The transitional period and rehabilitation took many years and feel now it has equipped me for the challenge to help others.
A keen Nottingham Forest fan and attempting to get fit again.
Hadrian served eight years in the Corps, leaving in 1972. During this time he served with 45 Cdo in Aden, the Joint Services Intelligence Staff, Hong Kong and RM Public Relations in DCGRM at The Admiralty.
The next 36 years were spent in Public Relations and Marketing management within Wilkinson Sword,The National Bus Company and the Rizla Group, retiring in 2009
Hadrian is married with three daughters, four grandchildren and lives in South Wales.
